NetSuite Release 2025.1 What’s New!

Your business is in it to win it, and Zastro is your trusted partner, supporting you every step of the way. NetSuite releases two major updates every year to ensure our customers have access to the latest innovations, and the first release is here!

NetSuite 2025 Release 1 brings innovative AI agents that will boost your efficiency. Also included are exciting updates to financials, procurement, field service, manufacturing, and more.

Let’s take a look at some of the updates:

Boosted efficiency with AI

NetSuite is infusing AI into everything they offer which supports our customers to get even more out of the suite. The latest release includes new GenAI assistants, an AI agent to answer questions about NetSuite, and handy tools that automatically draft reports and analyses. Other features allow you to customize GenAI responses to the needs of specific teams and empower them to make better business decisions.

Some AI highlights include:

  • NetSuite’s first AI assistant for NetSuite Analytics Warehouse is powered by the Oracle Analytics AI Assistant and can generate charts and other data visualizations based on natural language requests. You can even ask the assistant follow-up questions, such as requesting the data in another format to highlight the key takeaways that will help guide your decision.
  • NetSuite Narrative Reporting, part of NetSuite Enterprise Performance Management (EPM), uses GenAI to draft detailed narratives and concise explanations from financial and transactional data, including insights into trends, variances, and time-based comparisons.
  • NetSuite Prompt Studio allows you to customize NetSuite Text Enhance to better meet your needs. To customize, you simply select a record and field, choose a language, and describe what the prompt should do, such as “write an item description in a fun, conversational tone, mentioning the product name.”
  • NetSuite Expert for SuiteAnswers is one of our newest AI agents and uses retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) capabilities from Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) to search NetSuite’s help and support content in SuiteAnswers. It then uses GenAI to create a concise answer to your NetSuite-related question, so you don’t have to sift through multiple documents.

The NetSuite SuiteAnswers knowledge center is now leveraging the new AI-powered NetSuite Expert.

New procurement solution

Release 2025.1 welcomes NetSuite SuiteProcurement, an indirect procurement solution that helps you track and control purchases of operating supplies. With indirect procurement embedded within the suite, buyers can easily shop on a supplier’s e-commerce site, giving them access to volume discounts on goods and services by centralizing purchasing power with a select set of vendors. At checkout, SuiteProcurement creates a purchase request, initiates the approval process, and automatically transmits the purchase order once approved to the vendor. Amazon Business and Staples Business Advantage are the first suppliers to support this solution and offer special benefits to SuiteProcurement customers.

Enhanced control for invoicing

NetSuite Bill Capture is an AI-assisted technology designed to save you from manually entering invoices. You can upload invoices into NetSuite via email or drag and drop. The system uses AI-based document object detection and optical character recognition (OCR) to automatically fill in bill record fields. Updates in 2025.1 allow for more visibility and control of the invoice scanning solution. Both the Review Scanned Bill and Scanned Vendor Bills pages now include a reference number column, duplicate detection warning, and the ability to add user notes that will be carried over to the bill. Also, The Scanned Vendor Bills page provides the option to remove uploads in bulk.

More field service features

This latest release also includes several new features in NetSuite Field Service Management aimed at building visibility and efficiency for field technicians and managers. Now, our field service management solution allows the automatic creation of time bills for each job, based on the captured start and end times. This feature improves the ability of managers to track field service activity and reduce billing errors while also simplifying the work of technicians in the field. Technicians now can also upload files in bulk to the mobile app, as opposed to, one at a time.

More connectors to external systems

With three new NetSuite Connectors, you can get comprehensive, up-to-date data about your business from one location. Our connectors are designed to map data between NetSuite and third-party applications, including Salesforce, Shopify, Amazon, and more.

The new connectors include:

  • NetSuite Connector for Salesforce, which automatically shares data between NetSuite and Salesforce to reduce data silos and accelerate order-to-cash and revenue recognition processes.
  • NetSuite Connector for Shopify B2B maps data between NetSuite and the Shopify B2B e-commerce platform for more efficient e-commerce operations.
  • NetSuite Connector for Microsoft Outlook syncs emails and calendar events with NetSuite CRM, helping sales teams keep their NetSuite records up to date.
