Introducing NetSuite’s First Built-In AI Assistant

AI-driven tools like generative AI (GenAI) chatbots have already revolutionized how businesses automate tasks and answer questions. In NetSuite 2025.1, GenAI features now make it easier than ever to analyze data, improve decision-making, and personalize customer experiences—without requiring programming or a data science background.

A Conversational AI Assistant for Analytics

A key highlight in this release is a new assistant for NetSuite Analytics Warehouse, powered by Oracle Analytics’ AI Assistant. It allows users to generate charts and data visualizations simply by typing natural language requests.

You can even follow up with questions to refine your output—for instance, changing the chart type or asking for a summary. Imagine a sales manager asking, “Show revenue from new customers by month,” and instantly receiving a dynamic chart. That visualization can then be dropped into a NetSuite workbook for deeper exploration.

Smarter, Faster Insights Across EPM and Analytics

NetSuite 2025.1 also brings GenAI to Narrative Reporting within Enterprise Performance Management (EPM). This upgrade enables automated explanations of trends, variances, and time-based comparisons, dramatically cutting the time required to prepare financial and management reports.

Meanwhile, NetSuite Analytics Warehouse introduces two new AI-powered features:

  • Auto-Insights: With one click, generate multiple visualizations that reveal trends and performance outliers.
  • Explain: Dig into root causes of key business drivers, such as late customer payments, using contextual narratives and anomaly detection.

Predictive Models You Can Use Right Away

Another standout in this release is the inclusion of prebuilt AI models for predictive analytics—no data science expertise required. You can enable these from the Preview Features tile and train them using your historical NetSuite data.

Included models:

  • Churn Prediction: Forecast which customers are likely to leave and when, so your team can act early.
  • Stockout Prediction: Predict inventory shortages by location and product, helping you balance supply with demand.
  • Markdown Prediction: Optimize pricing decisions with suggestions on what products to discount, by how much, and where.

Customizing AI for Your Business

NetSuite 2025.1 also introduces tools to tailor AI to your business:

  • NetSuite Prompt Studio allows administrators to adjust default AI-generated responses. Set tone, language, and content instructions—all with a live preview.
  • SuiteScript Generative AI API enables developers to embed GenAI into custom SuiteApps and extensions, opening the door for highly specialized, AI-powered tools.
